After I was dropped from my deals due to a Ponzi scheme (true story, you can’t make this shit up!), I found thousands of dollars in unclaimed royalties due to me.

Before being signed I had been independent for over a decade. I love the music business - I know, I'm special. I thought I had my head wrapped around collecting royalties. Wow did the Universe have some lessons in store for me.

After sifting through all the shitty emotions, (I was pretty pissed to say the least,) I took charge. I would not be defeated, I would not fall victim to being just another artist “burned by the industry.” I got clear on my goal, I educated myself and I reached out for support.

My rage drove me to dive deep. After successfully winning a legal battle to get all of my intellectual property back, I claimed thousands of dollars in royalties before it was too late, before they were lost to the black box. Fun fact: these royalties reclaimed were from cover songs alone!
